Outdoor Dining Application

Under section 125 of the Roads Act 1993 and Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993, a business operator seeking to operate Outdoor Dining in the Public Domain, including on Council-owned land, is required to seek approval from Council.

You must submit an application and receive Council Approval prior to offering Outdoor Dining. Failure to do so is an offence.

When you are intending to utilise Outdoor Dining you will need to submit an application.

To Apply for an Approval

Please ensure you have read and understood the Outdoor Dining User Guidelines before submitting your application.

You will need to submit the following as part of your application:

  • Site Plan (refer to Section 2 - D of the application form requirements)
  • Certificate of Title/Lease Agreement
  • Copy of the Approval Holder's driver license (front and back)
  • Photo samples of the proposed furniture and other removable outdoor dining elements)
  • Any branding design being applied with the outdoor dining area (if applicable)

Note: In the event Council is satisfied that the Outdoor Dining Approval may be granted, the Applicant will be required to provide Council with the following:

  • Current Liquor License issued under the Liquor Act (if applicable)
  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate of currency for $20 million (with City of Parramatta Council named as an additional insured party and the Outdoor Dining site address).

Once all the documentation has been provided to Council's satisfaction, the Approval will be granted and issued to the Applicant.

Outdoor Dining within the Eat Street Parramatta Light Rail

Please ensure you have read and understood the Outdoor Dining User Guidelines before submitting your application.

You will need to submit the following as part of your application:

Note: In the event Council is satisfied that the Outdoor Dining Approval may be granted, the Applicant will be required to provide Council with the following:

  • Current Liquor License issued under the Liquor Act (if applicable)
  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate of currency for $20 million (with City of Parramatta Council and Transport for NSW named as additional insured parties and the Outdoor Dining site address).

Please note that concurrence from Transport for NSW is required as part of all applications and may take up to six (6) weeks.

Once all the documentation has been provided to Council's satisfaction, the Approval will be granted and issued to the Applicant.

Resident and Visitor Parking Permits

The permit allows you to park your vehicle conveniently without the risk of parking violations, by parking your vehicle within the signed time restrictions within the designated resident parking scheme area.

Each household can apply for:

  • Two resident parking permits
  • One transferrable visitor parking permit

What you need to apply:

Proof of vehicle registration
You must provide a current transport of NSW certificate of registration issued by Service NSW or a screenshot from the online account certificate of registration details. These must include:

  • Your name
  • Your residential address
  • Your vehicle details

If the car is a company vehicle, you also need a letter on company letterhead. The letter must confirm:

  • Your home address
  • That you are a company employee with full use of the vehicle.

You can obtain this information by accessing the MYServiceNSW Account website.

 

Proof of residence (two documents)
You need to provide two documents showing your name and residential address.

  • Current driver's license or photo ID card.
  • Utility bills (electricity, gas, water)
  • Phone bill
  • Bank statement
  • Pension or health care card (required for concession applications)
  • Current lease agreement
  • Council rates notice
  • Electoral card

Documents addressed to a post office box will not be accepted.

 

How to apply online

For concessions, select:

  • 1 x RPS (Concession)
  • 2 x RPS (Concession)

  • 2 x RPS + 1 x VPS (Concession)

 

After you submit your application, an officer will assess and determine a decision for your request. If approved, you will receive a confirmation letter. If your application is not approved, please allow 14 business days for refunds to take place.
